Teluk Dalam Deep Dive
Teluk Dalam (Inner Bay) on Redang's southwestern shore is one of the island's premier advanced dive sites — the steep coral wall dropping from 5 metres to over 30 metres has extensive sea fan coverage, black coral bushes at depth, and the large pelagic species (napoleon wrasse, giant grouper, dogtooth tuna) that characterise Redang's deeper dive environment. The wall dive at Teluk Dalam, with the vertical coral garden visible from surface to the limits of recreational diving, provides the most dramatically vertical dive experience on the island.

Pinang Reef Dive
Pinang Reef off the northern tip of Redang is one of the most spectacular dive sites in the island's marine park — the submerged reef structure with its extensive hard coral coverage, the schools of bumphead parrotfish that graze the table coral formations in the morning, and the manta ray encounters that occur here during the plankton blooms of the inter-monsoon periods make Pinang one of the most anticipated dives for visitors to Redang. The bumphead parrotfish school at Pinang, sometimes numbering 30-50 individuals, is one of the largest regularly encountered bumphead groups in Malaysian waters.

Redang Wreck Dive
The deliberately sunk vessel at Redang's wreck dive site has accumulated significant artificial reef development since its sinking — the wreck at 20-25 metres depth supports a resident moray eel colony, the lionfish that shelter in the wreck's interior, and the schooling glassfish that fill the open spaces of the deck in shimmering silver clouds. The transition from the wreck's artificial structure to the natural reef adjacent to it demonstrates the colonisation process by which artificial reef structures rapidly develop diverse marine communities in the nutrient-rich tropical marine environment.

Lang Tengah Nearby Dive
Pulau Lang Tengah, the small island between Redang and Perhentian, is accessible as a day trip from Redang for experienced divers seeking different dive environments — the Lang Tengah reefs, with slightly less visitor pressure than Redang's most popular sites, have sections of excellent coral in pristine condition that complement the Redang dive experience. The inter-island boat trip to Lang Tengah also provides the best open-water views of Redang's mountain silhouette from the sea, a perspective unavailable from the resort beaches on the island itself.

Redang Night Dive
The night dive in the Marine Park coral garden off Redang's main beach is the most accessible and most productive night dive in the Terengganu marine parks — the familiar landscape of the daytime coral garden transforms after dark as the nocturnal reef community emerges, with Spanish dancer nudibranchs performing their swimming display in the water column, the sleeping parrotfish visible in their mucus cocoons on the coral branches, and the octopus hunting crabs and molluscs across the sandy substrate. The bioluminescent plankton that is particularly abundant in Redang's nutrient-rich waters adds an ethereal lighting dimension to the night dive experience.

Redang Advanced Drift Dive
The advanced drift dive at Redang's southern reef uses the tidal current that sweeps along the reef wall to carry divers past the most diverse section of the island's southern reef without effort — the drift conditions at the optimal tidal state move divers past the sea fans, the schooling fish, and the eagle ray that frequents this section of reef at a viewing pace that allows extended observation of each element of the reef community. The drift dive requires good buoyancy control and the ability to maintain position relative to the guide and other divers in a current, making it appropriate only for divers with at least Advanced certification.
