Langford Island Sandbar
Langford Island has a tidal sandbar that appears and disappears with the tide — at low tide, walking out on the sand surrounded by turquoise water provides one of the Whitsundays' most photogenic experiences.

Langford Reef Snorkel
The reef around Langford Island is rich with life — bommies (coral heads) rise from the sandy bottom, each surrounded by schools of damselfish, wrasse, and the occasional reef shark cruising the outer edge.

Bird Island Seabird Colony
The small uninhabited islands north of Hayman are seabird nesting colonies — wedge-tailed shearwaters, crested terns, and noddy terns nest in large numbers, and the noise and activity of a nesting colony is extraordinary.
