    The most famous dive site in the Seychelles — a submerged granite plateau 8 km from Mahé where hammerhead sharks, whale sharks and eagle rays congregate in season

    Brissare Rocks Granite Cathedral

    Massive underwater granite boulders form arches, swim throughs and vertical walls covered in soft corals, sea fans and thousands of glass fish

    Whale shark season (October–January)

    The channel between Mahé and Praslin concentrates whale sharks during the northwest monsoon — snorkeling with these 12-meter gentle giants is the highlight of the trip for many visitors

    Manta Ray Cleaning Station

    A seamount northwest of Mahé hosts a regular manta ray cleaning station – divers hover as the rays slide in slow circles, allowing the wrasses to clean their gills

    British frigate HMS Ennerdale sank in 1970 after hitting a reef — now a 100-foot coral-encrusted artificial reef with huge shoals of snapper and jack

    The calm sheltered bay on Mahé's west coast is ideal for night dives – squid hunting, sleeping parrotfish in their slime cocoons and luminescent plankton
