The picnic area at the top of the falls is the starting point — the Wentworth Falls Conservation Area protects an extraordinary diversity of plant communities from clifftop heath to temperate rainforest.

Falls Lookout
The lookout at the falls crest shows the 187-metre drop in full — the water slides over the sandstone lip in a broad fan before breaking into a fall that disappears into the valley below.

Charles Darwin Walk
The track named for Charles Darwin follows the cliff base — Darwin visited the Blue Mountains in 1836 and wrote extensively about the geological formation of the valleys, calling them 'valleys of the dead.'

Valley of the Waters
The Valley of the Waters is the Blue Mountains at its most intimate — a deeply incised gorge with rainforest, multiple small waterfalls, and the constant sound of water on sandstone.

Conservation Hut
The historic Conservation Hut café at the clifftop is the perfect rest stop — built in 1937 for the Department of Lands conservation workers, it now serves excellent coffee above the valley.

The Undercliff Track traverses below the sandstone overhang — Aboriginal rock shelters in this area show occupation stretching back thousands of years, the cliff providing natural shelter above the valley.
